Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
November 27, 2016
Cruise to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with Celebrity Cruises. One of the world’s most modern cities, it’s home to large gardens and parks, green boulevards, and opulent shopping centers.

Remember to bring ID, scarf and long skirt or loose pants. From the Cruise terminal to the Mosque in Abu Dhabi, it’s 22-30 mins (depending on traffic) by taxi and they can lend you an abaya for free at the Cloakroom too. Entrance is free.
When we got to the mosque, the ladies have to go downstairs to a cloakroom where as you say, they are lent a headscarf and an abaya (full-length gown) in any colour they like, so long as it’s black. They are not a hijab (head-bag) nor a niqab (face-mask), and the garb is not dissimilar to the kind of gear my late Mother and her sisters would have worn in church for a Christian funeral years ago. It is no hassle, a simply a mark of respect for the local culture.

Dubai city tour from Abu Dhabi on November 27, 2016 (Sunday)
Dubai Private Tour will pick us up at the cruise terminal and bring us back to the same location. But Tatiana and her group are planning on going to F1 in the afternoon, so we can probably ask them to bring us closer to Yas Marina. Also, there are 7-8 guests (one person is still undecided) in her group. The company provides a bigger vehicle for us (14 seater). Please let Tatiana (TroubleT) know and she will get back to you with the information on availabitily.
