Suez Canal (Passage)
November 18, 2016
Once only a dream of Venetian merchants, transiting the Suez Canal has become a cherished memory for many travelers. Connecting the Mediterranean and Red seas in 1869, it shaved 4,300 miles off of sailings between Europe and Asia. To the west, you can view the green Nile Delta in Africa and to the east, the arid Sinai Peninsula in Asia.
